the brief
the film tells the story of Black and Indigenous patriots of the American Revolution in Concord, for educators, interpreters and the public.
Luminous supplied the script. My job was to make interviews, paintings, maps and archival stills work as one film.
client: Town of Concord, Massachusetts, with The Robbins House and Minute Man National Historical Park
funded by MA250
final mix: Tim Dolbear
I built the 22-minute edit around the script, giving historical fact, personal testimony and present-day reparations each its own tone.
I also color-graded the film.
the edit
review and delivery
the edit went through agency and client review rounds with Luminous from August to October 2025.
after the master was approved, I cut it into 13 standalone educational segments, following the script’s section breaks, plus a trailer and a captioned master.
